Stanserhorn mountain run

On Sunday, July 5, 2026, the Stanserhorn will once again belong to mountain runners: For the 39th time, the traditional Stanserhorn mountain run will attract sports enthusiasts to Stans' local mountain. The approximately 11-kilometre route with an altitude difference of over 1,400 meters leads from Stans via meadows, forest and steep mountain paths to the finish at the mountain station at 1,850 m above sea level.

Regular cable car operations continue as normal during the event. For spectators, it's worth a visit: if you get to the top early enough, you can cheer on the participants in the finish area and cheer them on on their last few meters.
