Sing along with the Stubecheerli

An evening of sing-alongs and good times

On Thursday, October 29, 2026, the Stanser Stubecheerli invites you to sing along to songs from the old streets of Stans on the Stanserhorn. The street songs used to be sung loudly and terribly through the Schmiedgasse in Stans by men returning from the pub; loud and terribly because the craftsmen were already slightly or heavily drunk. The songs were also sung during longer visits to the pub and at village and street festivals.

However, these 'Gassenlieder' were not only sung in the Schmiedgasse in Stans. They could be heard at folk festivals and are also said to have found their way into farmhouses from time to time. Many of the songs had fallen into oblivion. For some years now, the Stanser Stubecheerli has been trying to preserve these old songs.

The sing along evening starts at 7.00 p.m. in the Bucher & Durrer Säli. Between songs, you will enjoy a delicious 3-course meal.
